6:59 pm - This is not like me at all
I'm feeling very organised. I have practically finished my Christmas shopping. I did all the internet shopping yesterday and the rest in town today. I only have to buy cards, bows and one more gift.

I love Christmas but I'm glad it is only once a year. I don't think my arms can carry any more bags.

I have started training for my new job which is exciting. Basically it involves looking after the online database which all the IT teams use.

You know that you're a geek and beyond help when you set out to buy a nice sensible umberella and you come home with a Doctor Who DVD and a Heros graphic novel. I still haven't bought the umberella!

11:38 am - Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey!!
Ah so that's why The Titanic crashed into the TARDIS. I know it only lasted 5 minutes but Time Crash was such fun. Peter Davidson was just brilliant he is MY Doctor. He's the first one I remember watching and holds a special place in my heart. So much so I now own The Five Doctors, Time Flight and Arc of Infinity. Which will satisfy my inner 5 year old for at least a week.

I'm a little late in getting into Heroes but I'm really enjoying Season 1 on BBC3. Hiro is great and possibly my favourite character. The big surprise is that Peter doesn't annoy me. I thought he might in the same way as Jack in Lost does but thankfully not. Peter has been saved from me wishing a Polar Bear would eat him.

My dad is doing a lot better. The doctors are talking about him maybe going home next weekend. Which is a relief all round especially for my mum as she has a long way to travel to visit him.

10:23 am - Not a Christmas Rant
Why do shops forget that people have birthdays in November? You would think a card shop called Birthdays would have some decent birthday cards but no! They have all gone to make way for Christmas cards. I know that some people have to buy cards early in order to post them abroad but all I want is a brithday card for my friend is that too much to ask?

I love Christmas because I get to go home and spend some time with my family but I don't need to be reminded in the middle of November or even worse October! Yes I'm looking at you Tesco with your Doctor Who advent calendars on the shelf on October 1st.

7:53 pm - Yay!
I have a new job. It is still with the same company but it means I will not be answering the phone and will not have to work any more weekends. Both of which are very good things. Don't know when I'm starting but the sooner the better.

Went to visit dad after work. He was sleeping when I arrived. He got a bit of a surprise when he woke up and found me reading one of his books. He looks a lot better than Saturday. He has a bit more colour about him. I've told him he's not allowed back to the HDU!

8:56 am - Holiday
Tomorrow I'm going on holiday with Michelle and Carolyn. I'm gone for nearly 2 weeks so don't do anything interesting until I get back.

2:06 pm - My well earned pay cheque
As I'm working on Saturday it is my day off today. I agreed to come into work for two hours overtime. I signed in my phone at 0830 and then about 10 minutes later all the phones in the centre went down. So that was me for two hours sitting doing nothing at time and a half. It felt really good to swan off 1030 and everyone else had to stay. Mwa ha ha.

10:18 am - Important Question
Well two weeks until I go on holiday and I don't know what books to take. I bought a couple yesterday. I have Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dearly Devoted Dexter, Stephen Fry's Autobiography and Alan Alda's Autobiography.

I think that's enough to go on with unless anyone has a recommendation they would like to make.

6:56 pm - Life Lesson #295
Never listen to Monty Python Sings while walking to walk. It makes you look like more of a loon than usual

7:56 pm - Due to a lack of actual news
I have three weeks left until I go on holiday!

Oh and I have discovered that 4 episodes of Season 5 Smallville is my limit.

Title: Lucy in the Sky
Rating: PG
Pairing: Harry/Lucy if you squint
Summary: Lucy's thoughts on living on The Valiant
Notes: I haven't written fiction in a very long time and I'm usually a slasher but this wouldn't go away until I had got it out.

6:59 pm - But if there isn't anything wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!
I answered a question correctly on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Which isn't really that unusual except it was a sports question that the audience and their phone a friend answered wrong.

Oh and it is five weeks until I go on holiday!!
